Barley is usually fertilised in autumn with nitrogen, phosphorus and, in some soils, potassium. Here we apply 30%-40% of the total units of nitrogen needed by the crop and all units of phosphorus and potassium where necessary.
Surface fertilization γίνεται κατά το στάδιο του αδελφώματος όπου έχουμε την μέγιστη ανάγκη της καλλιέργειας σε άζωτο.
Εξαίρεση αποτελεί το κριθάρι που πάει για βυνοποίηση που συνίσταται να αποφεύγεται η περίσσεια αζώτου, για να μην αυξάνεται η περιεκτικότητα των κόκκων σε πρωτεΐνες.
